The agent of Lucas Perez has dismissed reports linking the Spaniard with a move to Napoli or Inter and insists he remains happy at Arsenal.
Arsene Wenger’s side hi-jacked Everton’s deal to sign Perez from Deportivo La Coruna in the summer after matching his £17m release clause but the uncapped Spaniard has endured a difficult start to life in England.
Perez was ruled out for up to two months at the end of October after suffering ankle ligament damage against Reading in the League Cup fourth round in his last appearance for the club, but had struggled to make any sort of impression even before that during his first three months at the club.
As a result, Inter and Napoli have both reportedly expressed an interest in the Arsenal summer signing, but his agent, Rodrigo Fernandez Llovelle, has rubbished those reports.
“He’s not playing because he’s injured,” he told Calciomercato, via Football Italia.
“He has no plans to lave, Arsenal and [Arsene] Wenger are very happy with him.
“Inter or Napoli? Not at the moment. Now he’s just thinking about Arsenal. He was playing, but then he injured his ankle and he’s been out for a month.”
The former Deportivo striker has only managed 87 minutes of Premier League action so far this season, although he did manage to register two assists in his 28 minutes of action in the Champions League before injury.
