Hull City have turned down a bid from West Ham for star midfielder Robert Snodgrass, reports BBC Sport.
Snodgrass, 29, has been in sublime form for Hull this season and their hopes of beating the drop are largely in his hands.
However, the Scotland international wants to leave the relegation strugglers this month and even rejected their offer of a contract extension last month.
Snodgrass’ deal was originally due to expire at the end of the season but Hull have gone ahead and triggered an automatic 12-month extension despite the fact the versatile midfielder rejected fresh terms.
Nevertheless, Snodgrass’ future at the club remains uncertain and the Tigers, who are bottom of the Premier League, have already been forced to reject a reported £3m bid from West Ham, with four other Premier League teams also interested.
Slaven Bilic’s side are expected to be one of the busiest teams in the transfer market this month as they look to put an abysmal first half of the season behind them. As well as Snodgrass, West Ham are also interested in re-signing former Hammers Jermain Defoe and Glen Johnson.
Snodgrass has scored seven goals in the Premier League this season, or alternatively, the Scott has scored a staggering 41.2% of Hull’s total league goals this term.
