Bayern Munich and Real Madrid told to pay €100m for Tottenham starlet

Tottenham have put a €100m (£86.4m) price tag on Dele Alli’s head amid interest from European giants Real Madrid and Bayern Munich, according to Spanish outlet AS.

Alli, 20, has enjoyed a sensational rise since joining Tottenham from MK Dons in deal worth £5m in February 2015 and only committed his long-term future to the club with a fresh six-year deal at the start of the season.

The England international has already been tipped to follow in the footsteps of Gareth Bale and trade Tottenham for Madrid but Mauricio Pochettino’s side have told the reigning European champions they will need to pay more than the £85m they paid to bring Bale to the Bernabeu in 2013.

While a world record sum is not beyond Madrid’s reach, it would certainly rule Bayern out of the running having never previously paid more than the £34m they shelled out on Javi Martinez from Athletic Club 2012.

Alli scored his 20th Premier League goal on his 52nd appearance in January to become the second fastest midfielder in Premier League history to reach the feat.
