New Everton manager Marco Silva has made signing Celtic full-back Kieran Tierney a top transfer target this summer, claims The Daily Telegraph.
Silva wants to sign a long-term replacement for Leighton Baines before the start of next season and has identified Tierney as his top choice.
The Scotland international is regarded as one of the best talents in Britain and has previously been linked with a big money move to Manchester United.
Jose Mourinho is an admirer of the 21-year-old and does want to sign a new left-back in the near future, but Everton are poised to bid £25m for the Celtic starlet.
Tierney only signed a new six-year deal with Celtic in October but it’s unlikely the Scottish champions will be able to retain his services for much longer.
Baines was limited to 22 league appearances for Everton last season after missing more than three months of the season through injury and will turn 34 at the end of the year.
Of Celtic players that made more than one appearance in the Champions League last season, Tierney finished as the highest WhoScored rated player (6.78).
