Which teen sensation made the Serie A Team of the Week?

It’s been a whirlwind fortnight for AC Milan goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma. With Sinisa Mihajlovic’s position as Rossoneri head coach already under threat, the 46-year-old dropped experienced goalkeeper Diego Lopez and thrust 16-year-old Donnarumma into the limelight at one of Europe’s biggest clubs.

The risky decision appears to have paid dividends for Mihajlovic, with Milan securing back-to-back wins for the first time this season with Donnarumma between the sticks, and they even secured their first clean sheet of the campaign in their 1-0 win over Chievo on Wednesday evening.

Donnarumma made three saves and one successful cross claim to garner a WhoScored rating of 7.30 to earn his spot in the Serie A Team of the Week in just his second senior appearance for his boyhood club.

At the other end of the spectrum, 34-year-old veteran defender Maicon finished gameweek 10 as the highest rated player and the oldest in the team (9.45 rating).

The former Inter full-back scored his first goal of the season – equalling his tally across the whole of last season – and also registered an assist in Roma’s 3-1 win over Udiense.  The ex-Brazil international also misplaced just seven of his 68 passes (90% success rate) and completed at least one more dribble than any other player (3).
