Barcelona make Dembele and Coutinho available for player-swap deals

Barcelona are willing to entertain deals for almost every player at the club this summer in order to land their main transfer targets, claims The Daily Telegraph.

The Spanish giants are in financial turmoil and must sell before they can buy but are hoping to kill two birds with one stone by including their players in potential transfer dealings.

Philippe Coutinho is free to leave Barcelona just two-and-a-half years after making a club-record move to Camp Nou and has already been offered to Chelsea.

Barcelona have also lost patience with Ousmane Dembele and will entertain offers for the France international, with Arthur and Nelson Semedo available to leave in exchange for the right players.

The fact Barcelona are willing to part ways with Coutinho and Dembele, however, their two record signings, so quickly illustrates just how badly the club have been managed in recent years.

Barcelona spent a combined £277.5m to land Coutinho and Dembele from Liverpool and Borussia Dortmund, respectively, and will do well to recoup £100m of that back this summer.

Their reputations have both diminished since joining Barcelona, with Coutinho currently farmed out on loan to Bayern Munich and Dembele out injured until the summer.

Off field problems and constant injuries have derailed Dembele's time at Barcelona and the LaLiga giants are now prepared to take huge financial hits to offload them permanently.

Dembele has managed just five league appearances for Barcelona this season and only 35 league starts out of a possible 103 since moving tp Spain in 2017.
