England goalkeeper a doubt for Euro 2016

Jack Butland will be sidelined for up to three months after sustaining a fractured ankle in England's 3-2 win over Germany on Saturday night, the club has confirmed.

The Potters shotstopper was stretchered off on the stroke of half time in Berlin, but scans have now revealed the full extent of his injury.

"Jack Butland will miss England's friendly with the Netherlands after fracturing an ankle bone," the official Stoke City Twitter account tweeted on Sunday night.

"Today's scan revealed I've fractured my ankle, absolutely devastated! I'll be doing everything I can to get back fit as soon as I can!," Butland himself tweeted following Stoke City's announcement.

England goalkeeper a doubt for Euro 2016

Butland, 23, has made more saves (103) than any other Premier League goalkeeper this season, but his Euro 2016 participation has now been thrown into doubt with the youngster one who was expected to feature for the national side this summer.
