Huth and Fellaini hit with three-game bans

The Football Association have confirmed Manchester United midfielder Marouane Fellaini and Leicester City defender Robert Huth will serve three-match suspensions.

Huth and Fellaini were involved in a physical altercation during Leicester’s 1-1 draw with United at Old Trafford last weekend, which went unnoticed by referee Michael Oliver.

The Leicester defender was seen pulling Fellaini’s hair at a United corner before the Belgium midfielder elbowed Huth in the face. Both were hit with an FA charge of violent conduct and have now been hit with three-match bans, which will mean neither will take part in the Premier League again this season.

Fellaini’s ban will only run up until the FA Cup final and make him available for selection against Crystal Palace at Wembley in just over two weeks time.
