Juventus prepared to wait for Serie A star

Juventus are willing to play the long game in their attempts to sign Keita Balde and wait until his contract expires next summer if necessary, reports Sport Mediaset, via Football Italia.

Keita has been heavily linked with a move away from Lazio this summer but has reportedly been holding out for Juventus, despite interest from AC Milan and Inter.

The Serie A champions are interested in signing the Senegal international but have no interest in matching Lazio’s €30m (£27.2m) asking price and are prepared to wait until next summer if they can.

Keita will be free to leave Lazio for nothing in 12 months when his current deal expires and the 22-year-old is not a priority signing at the moment given the players that have already bought this summer.

Of players that scored at least 10 Serie A goals last season, only Mauro Icardi (63.2%) had a better on-target conversion rate than Keita (51.7%).
