Tottenham set to move for Janssen replacement

Tottenham are considering a summer move for Burnley striker Andre Gray as a possible replacement for Vincent Janssen, reports the Sunday Mirror.

Janssen has disappointed following his big money arrival from AZ Alkmaar, netting just the one Premier League goal upon his signing.

The young Dutchman has been linked with a switch to Turkey, with Galatasaray supposedly prepared to sign him on loan for the season.

They were rebuffed in their attempts to lure Janssen to Istanbul at the turn of the year, but are expected to return for the 22-year-old in the summer.

Spurs are aware they could be left short up top with Janssen’s possible departure and have eyed up a move for Gray to replace the youngster.

The 25-year-old has scored eight goals - more than any other Burnley player this season - and has registered two assists in his top-flight debut.

What’s more is that Gray has just 12 months left to run on his current deal and has shown no signs that he is prepared to extend his stay at Turf Moor beyond 2018.
