Benfica have confirmed Raul de Tomas’ move from Real Madrid in a deal worth €20m (£18m).
De Tomas has put pen to paper on a five-year deal with Benfica and has a release clause of €100m (£89.7m).
The 24-year-old has spent the last two years on loan at Rayo Vallecano and was a revelation for the LaLiga outfit last season.
He scored 14 goals in 33 league appearances for Rayo Vallecano and even netted a hat-trick in a 4-2 win over Celta Vigo in January.
De Tomas has spent his entire career affiliated with Madrid after joining the club at the age of nine.
However, he only made one senior appearance for the club in a Copa Del Rey tie with UE Cornella as a substitute in 2014.
De Tomas’ arrival has coincided with Joao Felix’s blockbuster €126m departure to Atletico Madrid.
Only Lionel Messi (87) and Luis Suarez (58) had more shots on target than De Tomas (47) in LaLiga last term.
