Villa add more promotion pedigree in Adomah

Aston Villa have secured their ninth signing of the summer under new manager Roberto Di Matteo, adding winger Albert Adomah to their ranks from Middlesbrough, the club have confirmed.

The 28-year old is the fifth of the Villans’ new arrivals to have secured promotion to the top-flight from the Championship, doing so with Boro last season. The Ghanaian international played his part in the Teeside club’s return to the top tier, making 43 appearances last season, weighing in with 6 goals and 5 assists.

Having moved to Middlesbrough from Bristol City in 2013, Adomah scored 24 goals and registered 15 assists in his three full seasons in the North East and Villa will hope he can add more firepower to their swelling ranks, providing another option on the wing.
