PSG president wants Ibrahimovic stay

Paris Saint-Germain president Nasser Al-Khelaifi insists the club wants Zlatan Ibrahimovic to stay at the club beyond the summer when his contract runs out.

Ibrahimovic, 34, has entered the final few months of his current deal and has been heavily mooted with a move to the Premier League.

However, it would appear he could still have a future at PSG, who were crowned Ligue 1 champions for the fourth year in a row on Sunday, after the club’s president insisted he wants the iconic Swede to stay at the club.

“Zlatan is magical,” he is quoted as saying by Sky Sports. “He is a great player. We are going to talk to him and see what he wants to do. We want him to stay.”

Ibrahimovic scored four goals in their 9-0 rout of Troyes on Sunday, which has taken his tally in the league to 27 for the season, which is more than any other player in Europe’s top five leagues.
