West Ham in advanced talks for Besiktas winger

West Ham United are closing in on their first signing of the summer after entering advanced talks with Besiktas for Gokhan Tore in a deal worth £12m, reports Turkish media outlet Holigan, via The Sun.

Hammers boss Slaven Bilic is reportedly a long-term admirer of Tore and is keen to reunite with the Turkey international at the Olympic Stadium next season.

The Premier League outfit failed with a £7.4m offer in January as Bilic tried to bolster West Ham’s push for a top four finish but is closing in on his man with Tore set to be handed the No.7 shirt upon his arrival.

Tore, who spent two years in Chelsea’s academy, has travelled about before finding his feet back in his homeland, including unsuccessful stints at Hamburg and Rubin Kazan.

Only Ever Banega (44) has completed more successful dribbles in the last two Europa League campaigns than Tore (41).
