Ricardo Rodriguez has confirmed he will be leaving Wolfsburg this summer putting the likes of Arsenal on red alert.
The Switzerland international, who reportedly has a £25m release clause, has been regarded as one of the best left-backs in Europe in the last few years and has been regularly mooted with a move to the Premier League.
Arsenal and Manchester United are among those that have been closely linked with the 23-year-old in the past and both could yet step up their interest after he confirmed he has already played his last game for the Bundesliga outfit.
“Rici has stated that his future is not with us,” Wolfsburg’s sporting director Klaus Allofs told Swiss newspaper Blick, via 101 Great Goals. “But we can live with this decision.”
In the last three Bundesliga seasons only Johannes Geis (172) has completed more accurate crosses than Rodriguez (150).
