Buffon would welcome Paris Saint-Germain move, says agent

The agent of Gianluigi Buffon has fuelled suggestions the Juventus goalkeeper will join Paris Saint-Germain this summer after welcoming the move.

Buffon has confirmed he will leave Juventus this summer and PSG have emerged as the frontrunners for his signature.

The Ligue 1 giants are ready to offer Buffon a two-year deal to ignore retirement and his agent, Silvano Martina, has confirmed their interest in the deal.

“We would be happy if Gigi came to Paris next season,” he told Le Parisien, via Goal.com.

Buffon has spent the last 17 years at Juventus and was widely expected to hang up his gloves at the end of the season.

However, Buffon confirmed his desire to continue playing earlier this month and now a move to PSG appears a foregone conclusion.

Juventus are reportedly eyeing Genoa goalkeeper Mattia Perin to replace Buffon for next season.

Of goalkeepers that made at least 15 Serie A appearances this season, only Alisson (80.1%) and Samir Handanovic (78.2%) had a better save success rate than Perin (74.4%).
