John Terry has confirmed that he will leave Chelsea at the end of the season.
The former England captain has been a key player for the Blues since making his first team debut back in 1998, winning four Premier League titles, five FA Cups, one Champions League and one Europa League during his time at the club.
However, the experienced centre-back has admitted that he is to depart Stamford Bridge once the current campaign draws to a close and his contract comes to an end.
"Ideally I would love to have stayed, but the club's moving in a different direction," Terry said after being informed his current deal won't be extended.
The 35-year-old has, however, ruled out a move to another Premier League team, adding: "I couldn't play for another Premier League club. It will be elsewhere for sure.
"I feel as though I'm in great nick, I'm playing great and I've got a couple of years to go. It'll just be elsewhere.
"The club will move on. No player is ever bigger than the club. No doubt they will sign one or two great centre-backs."
Rumours are now rife as to where Terry will move to, with a switch to MLS now on the cards.
