Chinese side eyes January move for Brazilian Paris Saint-Germain forward

Chinese Super League side Beijing Guoan are interested in handing Lucas Moura a way out of Paris Saint-Germain in January, reports ESPN. 

The 25-year-old has dropped way down the pecking order at PSG this season and needs regular first team football to make Brazil’s squad for the 2018 World Cup next summer. 

PSG failed in their attempts to sell Lucas before the start of the season as the Brazilian did not want to uproot his family while his partner was pregnant with their first child. 

Lucas is now open to the idea of leaving the Parc des Princes and has reportedly even been in contact with former team-mate Ezequiel Lavezzi, who now plays for Hebei China Fortune. 

Moving to the Far East would not ruin his chances of representing Brazil at the 2018 World Cup as Paulinho was still a first-team regular under Tite during his time at Guangzhou Evergrande.

However, Lucas’ priority is to stay in Europe but a move to China has not been ruled out by the player next month. 

Lucas has only made five substitute appearances in Ligue 1 this season, scoring once and providing one assist in that time, but hasn’t featured since a 17-minute cameo at the end of PSG’s 5-0 win away to Angers at the start of November.
