Roma, Napoli and Valencia have stepped up their pursuit to sign Bologna teenager Amadou Diawara, according to Marca, via Football Italia.
Valencia are looking to sign a new central midfielder following Andre Gomes’ departure to Barcelona last week and are reportedly favourites to sign the 19-year-old.
Diawara has failed to report for pre-season training with the Serie A side in an attempt to force through a move this summer.
No player aged 21 and under won possession more in the midfield third across Europe’s top five leagues than Diawara last season (152).
