Monaco have signed Atletico Mineiro central defender Jemerson for €10m (£7.6m), according to L’Equipe.
Leonardo Jardim’s side have been keen to bolster their defensive options this month, particularly with Ricardo Carvalho’s contract due to expire at the end of the season.
Monaco have reportedly agreed to sign the 23-year-old Brazilian on a five-and-a-half-year deal and have fended off competition from Celta Vigo to sign the defender.
Only two defenders scored more goals in the Brasileirao last season than Jemerson (4), who started in 35 of their 38 league games.
