Manchester United to prioritise Nigerian striker in the summer

Lille striker Victor Osimhen has become a priority signing for Manchester United this summer, reports Le10 Sport via The Daily Star.

21-year-old frontman Osimhen has been a revelation for Les Dogues following his arrival in France from Belgium last year.

Indeed, the young striker has bagged 13 league goals for Lille this season and his stock has soared as a result of his goalscoring exploits.

United are likely to prioritise a new striker when the transfer window next opens and while Odion Ighalo's loan move is set to be made permanent, head coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is hoping to add another young forward to the squad.

However, the Premier League giants could face competition from Real Madrid for Osimhen, with Los Blancos eager to land a new frontman.

Real Madrid may have signed Luka Jovic last summer, but the LaLiga side have also been linked with a move for Wolves star Raul Jimenez, with Zinedine Zidane impressed with the Mexican forward, who he believes would be the ideal partner for Karim Benzema.

Osimhen has four years left to run on his current deal with Lille, who can command a top fee for the Nigerian.
