Former Real Madrid full-back Roberto Carlos believes that Neymar is the best player in the world and not Lionel Messi nor Cristiano Ronaldo.
Despite scoring 57 league goals between them this calendar year alone, Carlos believes his national compatriot is currently at the summit of world football.
“People always talk about the same ones [Messi or Ronaldo] but I would speak about Neymar,” Carlos is quoted as saying by ESPN. “For me the best is Neymar.”
The Brazil international has taken his time warming to the new season and only opened his account for the season against Atletico Madrid last weekend.
