Arsenal are in talks with Sevilla for midfielder Steven N’Zonzi, claims Sky Sports.
New Arsenal manager Unai Emery wants to overhaul the club’s current midfield options, which led to Jack Wilshere leaving for free earlier this month.
The Gunners are on the verge of signing Sampdoria starlet Lucas Torreira and now Emery has turned his attentions to N’Zonzi.
The France international is reportedly keen to leave Sevilla this summer but his future won’t be concluded until after the 2018 World Cup.
N’Zonzi has developed into one of the best midfielders in La Liga outside the top three teams since joining Sevilla from Stoke in 2015.
Emery has made adding experience a top priority this summer and has already signed 34-year-old Stephan Lichtsteiner and 30-year-old Sokratis.
In the last three La Liga campaigns, N’Zonzi has completed more passes than any other player in the division (6176).
