Bournemouth eye up £35m move for Lyon forward

Bournemouth are considering a £35m move for Lyon striker Bertrand Traore, reports The Daily Mail.

The Cherries recently got back to winning ways with a 3-1 win over Brighton on Tuesday to ease their relegation concerns.

However, a lack of goals has manager Eddie Howe worried that the south coast side could yet drop down into the Championship.

Traore, though, is yet to score a league goal this season, but does have three assists to his name and Howe is pondering a big money move for the former Chelsea man this month.

Bournemouth would face competition for the 24-year-old should Lyon elect to cash in on the Burkina Faso international, with French publication Foot Mercato suggesting that Leicester and West Ham are also pondering Traore.

It remains to be seen whether Lyon would elect to sell Traore this month with Memphis Depay ruled out for the rest of the season.

Despite failing to get his name on the scoresheet in Ligue 1 this season, Traore has still returned a fine WhoScored rating of 7.15.
