West Ham are poised to make their ninth signing of the summer after closing in on a £2.5m deal for Palermo defender Achraf Lazaar, according to Standard Sport.
Lazaar, 24, has spent the last two years with Palermo and has previously been mooted with a move to Monaco but now looks set to join West Ham.
The Morocco international only has 12 months remaining on his existing deal with Palermo, which explains why Slaven Bilic’s side are able to get him at a cut price.
In the last two seasons only Franco Vazquez and Paulo Dybala have been dispossessed more times in Serie A than Lazaar (75).
