Chelsea ready to spoil Manchester United’s party for Perisic

Inter are ready to sell Andrea Candreva to Chelsea in order to keep Ivan Perisic at the club, dealing a huge blow to Manchester United, reports Mediaset Premium, via Football Italia.

United have been heavily linked with a move for Perisic all summer although talks between the clubs have cooled since the Serie A side jetted off for their pre-season tour of Asia.

Luciano Spalletti has been vocal in his desire to keep Perisic this summer and now the board are ready to meet his demands by sanctioning the sale of Candreva to Chelsea.

The Premier League champions have also been linked with a move for the 30-year-old, who only joined Inter from Lazio 12 months ago, as Antonio Conte looks to bolster his squad ahead of the new season.

Inter have reportedly already turned down a bid in the region of €18m (£16m) from Chelsea for the Italy international but are now ready to sell in order to fund a move for Lazio forward Keita Balde.

This news will come as a real blow for Mourinho, who wants to sign another forward that can play on both wings for the season ahead. United have locked horns with Chelsea on a number of occasions already this summer and that trend looks set to continue here.

Only Alejandro Gomez created as many clear-cut chances in Serie A last season as Candreva and Perisic (all 16).
