Ronaldo’s former club want him back

Sporting Lisbon president Bruno de Carvalho has revealed his dream is for Cristiano Ronaldo to return to the club and retire there.

Ronaldo, 31, started his professional career with Sporting before sealing a move to Manchester United that put him on the path to superstardom.

The Portugal international is currently in the middle of negotiating a new deal with Real Madrid, but Sporting are still hopeful he will make a sensational return.

“Yes, without a doubt, I would love for Ronaldo to end his career here, at home,” Carvalho told Marca, via The Daily Mail.

“He represents a lot for us and it would be beautiful if he could end his career here. He is a world ambassador. He always speaks well about us and how fond he is of us.”
