Hull defender set for Liverpool medical

Hull defender Andrew Robertson will undergo his Liverpool medical on Thursday ahead of completing a £10m deal, reports The Daily Mirror.

Robertson has been heavily linked with a move to Liverpool since the beginning of last season and will finally complete a long-awaited move to Anfield as Jurgen Klopp seeks cover for James Milner.

The arrival of the Scotland international will almost certainly mean Alberto Moreno will be sold this summer, despite the fact Liverpool rejected a bid from Napoli earlier in the transfer window.

Robertson was given permission to leave Hull’s pre-season camp in Portugal at the start of the week and is now scheduled to fly to Germany next week to meet his new team-mates on the presumption he passes his medical on Thursday.

Liverpool will pay £8m up front to the Championship outfit and the 23-year-old is poised to become the club’s third signing of the summer following the arrival of Dominic Solanke and Mohamed Salah.

Robertson made the most last man tackles in the Premier League last season (3) but endured a difficult campaign for a Hull side that were relegated back down to the Championship.
