England international flattered by Chelsea interest

Southampton goalkeeper Fraser Forster admits he is flattered by reports linking him with a move to Chelsea.

Forster, 28, is on Chelsea’s radar as a possible replacement for Thibaut Courtois in the summer following his strong performances in the second-half of the season.

The England international will go to the Euros with England as Joe Hart’s understudy in the summer and the Southampton No.1 shot stopper admits he is happy to be linked with one of the biggest clubs in England.

“I’m just concentrating on the day-to-day business here at the club and then hopefully I can have good summer with England,” Forster told The Daily Mirror.

“I think it is a compliment in many ways because if you are being linked with teams then you are obviously doing the right things.

“I have two years left on my contract at Southampton and I have loved my time here. I can’t thank the club enough for the way they have stood by me when I was injured.”
