Leeds are closing in on the signing of Real Sociedad defender Diego Llorente in a deal worth £20m, claims Sky Sports.
Marcelo Bielsa is keen on signing a new centre-back after being forced to play 21-year-old Pascal Struijk at the back in their opening game of the season.
Leeds have already signed Robin Koch but after missing out on re-signing Ben White from Brighton they are now targetting Llorente.
The Spain international came through the youth ranks at Real Madrid but has spent the last three years with Real Sociedad.
Bielsa's side are expected to shell out in the region of £20m for Llorente and a deal could even be completed by the weekend.
The 27-year-old missed Sociedad's 0-0 draw with former club Madrid at the weekend amid talk of a move to Leeds.
Llorente has committed only two errors leading to an opposition goal in 78 league appearances for Sociedad, though both have come within the last nine months.
