Everton are in advanced talks to sign Bordeaux forward Malcom in a stunning deal worth an initial £30m, reports Sky Sports.
Malcom has been heavily linked with a move away from the French side in the last 12 months after a thoroughly impressive campaign last term.
Arsenal and Manchester United were both interested in signing the Brazilian in January before getting Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Alexis Sanchez, respectively.
Tottenham are also monitoring Malcom’s future at Bordeaux this summer, while it was thought Serie A giants Inter were the frontrunners for his signature.
However, it has now emerged that Everton are in advanced talks with their French counterparts in what would be a real coup for the Toffees.
Everton are reportedly ready to hand the 21-year-old an £80,000-a-week deal over five years if they can pull off a £30m deal plus add-ons.
Further talks are planned with Bordeaux chairman Stephane Martin on Thursday, as Everton look to pull off one of the most impressive deals this summer.
Malcom played a direct hand in 19 goals in 35 league games for Bordeaux last season, winning the WhoScored Man of the Match award on eight occasions in that time.
Levy had better make a move or another top target will get away, every top target we've been linked with have ended up at a rival cause Levy is so slow at pulling the trigger. Spurs won't win a thing while Levy and Enic are in control. We'll have a lovely stadium and wonderful facilities but when it comes to trophies the squad hasn't had the same investment, we'll be known as we already are as the nearly team.
@Borgie31 And for some reason, Tony, you think yapping about the same thing year after year, on site after site, will yield some benefit. Enic and Levy aren't going anywhere. Its about time you supported another club or be silent.
