Barcelona’s Brazilian ace approached by China’s riches

An unnamed Chinese Super League team have offered Barcelona defender Dani Alves a three-year deal worth €12m-per-year, according to Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo.

Chinese teams still have until February 26 to sign players before their transfer window closes and they have already signed the likes of Ramires, Jackson Martinez and Gervinho from some of Europe’s biggest clubs.

West Ham midfielder Dimitri Payet is another on the radar of the fastest growing leagues, but Alves could also be on their radar, if reports are to be believed.

Alves, 32, still has more than a year remaining on his current deal at Barcelona and while he remains a first-team regular under Luis Enrique, it would be hard to ignore any offer of that size considering his age.

Since August 2012, only Markel Susaeta (127) has completed more cross (excluding corners) than Dani Alves in La Liga (119).
