Napoli have announced the arrival of Fenerbahce teenager Eljif Elmas in a deal worth an initial €16m (£14.4m).
Napoli have opted against disclosing the length of the 19-year-old's contract but Elmas becomes one of Fenerbahce’s record exports.
Elmas has spent the last two years with Fenerbahce and made his debut for the Macedonia national team at the age of 17.
Elmas is Napoli’s third high profile signing of the summer following the arrivals of Kostas Manolas and Giovanni Di Lorenzo earlier in the window.
The Macedonia international made 29 league appearances for Fenerbahce last season and started 17 games in that time.
He scored four league goals in that period and garnered a disappointing WhoScored rating of 6.46. Elmas’ WhoScored rating increased marginally to 6.62 when factoring in starts alone.
In fact, of Fenerbahce players that started at least 10 league games last season only Islam Slimani (6.42) garnered a lower WhoScored rating than Elmas.
