Verratti will not stay at PSG forever, says agent

Marco Verrati’s agent has revealed the midfielder will not stay at Paris Saint-Germain his entire career.

The Italy international is widely considered one of the best central midfielders in the world and has previously been linked with a move to Barcelona.

The 23-year-old signed a four-year contract back in August keeping him at PSG until 2020, but his agent, Donato Di Campli, has revealed he will seek out a new challenge at some point in his career.

“It is unlikely to think he’ll play his entire career at Paris Saint-Germain,” he told So Foot, via ESPN. “It’s an issue of motivation. Every now and then a player has to seek out new adventures.

“That doesn’t mean we are thinking of a change of scenery right now, because Verratti hopes to continue here as long as possible, but one day we will have to face up to this possibility.”

In the last three Ligue 1 campaigns only Thiago Motta (81.1) has averaged more passes per game than Verratti (77.4).
