Valencia are set to sign centre-back Aymen Abdennour after reaching an agreement with Monaco, reports Marca.
Abdennour, who only joined Monaco permanently last summer, has been heavily linked with a move to Barcelona and Chelsea in recent months, but both are set to miss out as Valencia seek further reinforcements following the departure of Nicolas Otamendi.
The Tunisia international did not feature in either of Monaco’s Champions League play-off matches against Valencia as he looks to push through a move away from the Ligue 1 outfit before the transfer window shuts on Monday.
Last season, only Wallace (6.4) averaged more clearances per game than Abdennour (5.8) for Monaco in Ligue 1.
