Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas has confirmed that Alexandre Lacazette has signed a new deal at the club.
The French striker had been attracting interest from across the continent, with Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United all linked with a move for the free scoring frontman.
However, their chances of snaring the 24-year-old this summer have been left dead in the water after he put pen to paper on a new four-year contract, tying him to the Ligue 1 side until 2019.
Lacazette was in sumptuous form for Lyon last season, netting more league goals (27) than any other player in France’s top tier, contributing to his WhoScored rating of 7.69.
