Lazio will turn their attentions to Southampton striker Manolo Gabbiadini if they fail to keep hold of Keita Balde, reports Il Messaggero, via Football Italia.
Keita has entered the final 12 months of his existing deal and wants out of Lazio, but the Serie A giants have failed to agree a fee with potential suitors.
Lazio head coach Simone Inzaghi has already confirmed the club will need to find a replacement for the Senegal international and they are reportedly interested in prising Gabbiadini back to Italy.
Southampton only signed Gabbiadini from Napoli at the start of the year but he has now emerged as a target for Lazio.
The 25-year-old made a breathtaking start to life in England but struggled towards the end of last season, going on a two-month run without a goal.
In fact, Gabbiadini’s goal in a 3-2 win over West Ham on Saturday ended a run of 570 minutes of Premier League action without a goal for Southampton.
