Draxler hoping to link up with compatriot in Paris

Julian Draxler has urged compatriot Mesut Ozil to join him in Paris, according to the London Evening Standard.

Draxler, who has previously been linked with a move to Arsenal, secured a move to Paris Saint Germain last month and has impressed upon his arrival in France.

The Germany international has now come out and believes that Ozil would make for a fine signing for PSG.

Ozil has only 18 months left to run on his current deal at the Emirates and it remains to be seen whether he will extend his stay in London.

And Draxler would want to link up with Ozil in Paris, as quoted by BeIn Sport via the London Evenindg Standard when asked which German teammate he’d like to see PSG sign: “There is one but I'm afraid it'll put me in difficulty if I say it. I'd like to see Mesut Ozil here.

“He can play in any team in the world. So if he wants to come, he will be welcome from my side anyway.”

Ozil, 28, said last month that his contract is dependent on Arsene Wenger staying on at the club, with the Frenchman’s current deal at Arsenal running until June.
