Manchester City are exploring the option of a move for Juventus left-back Alex Sandro, says Gazzetta dello Sport.
The Brazilian only moved to the Serie A champions over the summer, but City are thought to have been impressed by his performance in the 1-0 defeat to Juventus last month.
Manuel Pellegrini can call on Aleksandar Kolarov and Gael Clichy in the position, yet feels Sandro is an upgrade on the pair in defence.
Juventus would be loathe to losing the left-back, who has begun to come into his own after struggling for regular first team action following his switch from Porto.
The 24-year-old has been awarded the WhoScored man of the match award in three of his last five competitive appearances, with the Citizens prepared to offer Juventus €40m to sign Sandro.
