Manchester United are in talks with Inter to make Ivan Perisic their first signing of the summer, reports Sky Sports.
Jose Mourinho is expected to invest heavily into his squad once again this summer and can expect to pay in excess of £36m to land Perisic from the Serie A giants.
The 28-year-old’s current deal isn’t due to expire until 2020 but Inter are willing to part ways with the Croatia international as they look to revamp their own squad this summer.
Perisic has spent the last two season at Inter after joining from Wolfsburg in 2015 and has established himself as one of the club’s best players in that time.
The Inter No.44 is a typical Mourinho winger that is fast and direct, while also possessing a decisiveness in the final third that United have lacked all season.
Perisic has scored or assisted 16 goals in Serie A this season (10 goals, six assists), which is his best ever return in a single league campaign.
