West Brom eye Burnley defender

West Brom are interested in signing Burnley defender Ben Mee, according to The Daily Mail.

Mee, who has one year remaining on his current deal, was one of the Clarets’ best performers last season as Burnley earned promotion back to the Premier League at the first attempt.

The former Manchester City trainee started their promotion campaign at left-back before being move inside to partner Michael Keane at the heart of Burnley’s defence.

Sean Dyche’s side are currently trying to fend off interest in Kean from Leicester and it would be a disaster if they were to also lose Mee this summer.

Only three outfielders completed more minutes in the Championship last season than the 26-year-old (4,128).
