Robert Lewandowski is very happy at Bayern Munich but his future may not be at the club, according to his agent Cezary Kucharski.
The Poland international was in sensational form in the first-half of the season and has courted interest from Real Madrid.
Lewandowski’s future suddenly became unclear after Bayern chief Franz Beckenbauer revealed Madrid’s interest earlier this week.
The Bundesliga champions have also strongly been linked with a move for Napoli striker Gonzalo Higuain and Lewandowski’s agent gave no guarantees over the 27-year-old’s long-term future at the Allianz Arena.
“We’re very happy at Bayern Munich. We’ll see what happens in the future, but I cannot tell you any more,” Lewandowski’s agent told L’Equipe.
“For me, he’s the best number nine in the world. Everyone knows the price of the best players in their position, but I can’t give you a figure.
“I don’t think Bayern want to sell him and I don’t want to talk about his price, especially since the championship starts again in Germany on Friday.
“In football, you can never know what will happen. The most important thing is that he fights for the Champions League.”
Lewandowski has scored 15 league goals in 16 appearances for Bayern this season and only Douglas Costa (7.98) has garnered a higher WhoScored rating for the Bundesliga leaders than the Pole (7.76).
