Ivan Perisic has agreed terms to an improved contract with Inter to put an end to talk linking the winger with a move to Manchester United, reports Premium Sport, via Football Italia.
United manager Jose Mourinho earmarked Perisic as a top transfer target at the start of the summer but the Premier League giants have failed to convince Inter to reduce their £48m asking price.
Perisic was reportedly keen on joining United but talks between the clubs have gone cold since the Croatia international joined Inter on their pre-season tour to Asia mid-way through last month.
Mourinho has recently hinted he is prepared to give up on the need to sign a fourth player this summer and Perisic has now reportedly agreed a new contract with Inter that will nearly double his current salary.
The 28-year-old will also add another 12 months to his existing contract, taking him through to June 2021 with the Serie A giants.
Since the start of last season, only Alejandro Gomez and Antonio Candreva have created more clear-cut chances in Serie A as Perisic (all 16).
