Torino consider new €80m AC Milan offer for Belotti

Torino are mulling over AC Milan’s new offer for Andrea Belotti that is worth €80M (£70.3m) over two years, reports Toro.it, via Football Italia.

Belotti has been heavily linked with a move away from Torino after enjoying a breathtaking campaign for the club last season with Manchester United and Milan the frontrunners for his signature.

The 23-year-old has a €100m (£87.9m) release clause in his current deal that applies to clubs outside of Italy but there is a feeling that Torino would strike a deal for less than that with their fellow Serie A sides.

Sinisa Mihajlovic’s side have already turned down a £39m bid from Milan this month but the Serie A giants have now reportedly returned with an improved offer that Torino are now considering.

Milan are willing to pay €20m (£17.6m) for a season-long loan deal with the obligation to make the switch permanent at the end of next season by paying a further €60m (£52.7m), which would make the Italy international the second most expensive player in Serie A history.

Only Edin Dzeko (29) and Dries Mertens (28) scored more goals in Serie A last season than Belotti (26), who is a life-ling Milan fan.
