Manchester City agree personal terms with LaLiga starlet

Manchester City have taken a step closer to landing Ferran Torres after agreeing personal terms with the Valencia winger, reports Eurosport.

Torres has been earmarked as a top transfer target by Pep Guardiola following the departure of Leroy Sane to Bayern Munich this summer.

City are expected to be big players in the transfer window after overturning their European ban through the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) on Monday.

With Valencia planning a mass squad overhaul at the end of the season to balance their books, City are keen to take advantage by signing Torres.

The 20-year-old has previously been linked with Premier League duo Manchester United and Liverpool but it is City actively chasing his signature.

Guardiola's side have already wrapped up personal terms with the Spain Under-21 international and now just need to agree a fee with Valencia.

That shouldn't prove too difficult for City, as Torres has entered the final 12 months of his current deal and Valencia are keen to cash in.

Torres has scored four goals and supplied as many assists in 32 league appearances for Valencia this season.

The Valencia starlet has also demonstrated his class on the European circuit, with four goals and assists in six games in the Champions League group stage earlier this season.
