Liverpool have reached an agreement with Southampton to sign Sadio Mane in a deal worth £34m, according to BBC Radio Solent.
Mane, 24, has been heavily linked with a move away from Southampton since the start of last season and appeared close to joining Manchester United in January.
With Southampton managerless, Mane is finally on the cusp of sealing his move away from St. Mary’s and is now due to undergo with medical with Liverpool ahead of his staggering move.
The Senegal international is due to become Liverpool’s second most-expensive of all-time, falling just short of the £35m Liverpool paid to sign Andy Carroll from Newcastle in 2011.
Since August 2014 no Southampton player has been named the WhoScored Man of the Match more times than Mane (8).
