Real Madrid consider shock move for West Ham forward

Real Madrid have West Ham ace Felipe Anderson in their sights if they fail to prise Eden Hazard away from Chelsea this summer, reports Sky Sports.

Zinedine Zidane’s side are planning a huge squad overhaul at the end of the season and Hazard is their No.1 transfer target as they finally look to replace Cristiano Ronaldo 12 months after his exit.

Hazard will only have one year left to run on his current Chelsea deal this summer and Madrid have reportedly already approached the Premier League side about a potential deal.

Madrid baulked at Chelsea’s £200m asking price last summer but are hoping to secure the Belgian’s services for less than half that fee this time around.

Zidane’s side are aware that negotiations with Chelsea may prove difficult and they have reportedly lined up a shock move for Anderson if talks go sour.

West Ham signed Anderson from Lazio in a club-record £36m deal last summer and the Brazilian has been one of the club’s best players this season.

The 25-year-old is still searching for consistency but has returned eight goals and four assists in the Premier League this season.

Anderson is West Ham’s highest WhoScored rated player in the Premier League this season (7.19), while only a handful of players have won the WhoScored Man of the Match award more times in the division (Anderson - 5).
