Henrikh Mkhitaryan’s agent has claimed the Borussia Dortmund forward would ‘happily’ wear the Juventus shirt, fuelling speculation of a summer switch.
Mkhitaryan, 27, is enjoying his finest season to date but will only have one year remaining on his current deal in the summer.
The Armenia international has developed into one of Dortmund’s most important players under Thomas Tuchel this season and has previously been linked with a move to Arsenal, although Juventus appear at the front of the queue to sign the right midfielder.
“Mkhitaryan? I know that [Massimiliano] Allegri [Juventus’ manager] likes him,” his agent Mino Raiola told Gazzetta dello Sport, via The Daily Mail.
“And Michy would happily wear the Bianconeri shirt, but he needs to make a deal with Tuchel.
“It’s true that his contract expires in 2017, but the Dortmund coach deems him indispensable.”
Mkhitaryan is one of only top players to be in double figures for goals and assists in the Bundesliga this season (10 each) and is currently the highest rated player in the German top-flight (7.88).
