Borussia Dortmund forward agrees personal terms with Barcelona

Barcelona have stepped up their interest in Ousmane Dembele and have now agreed personal terms with the Borussia Dortmund youngster, claims L’Equipe, via Get French Football.

Ernesto Valverde’s side are in the market to bolster their offensive options following the world record departure of Neymar to Paris Saint-Germain on Thursday.

Dembele only last week suggested he wanted to stay at Dortmund in order to win more titles with the German side, but the France international has previously gone on record to say he will play for Barcelona one day.

Barcelona expect to sign Liverpool star Philippe Coutinho in a deal worth a reported €100m (£90m) this summer and are now edging closer to completing the transfer of Dembele, although might need to shell out a similar amount to convince Dortmund to sell.

The 20-year-old only joined Dortmund 12 months ago but is regarded as one of the most exciting young talents in Europe after a sublime maiden season with the Bundesliga giants. In fact, no player completed more dribbles in the Bundesliga last term than Dembele (103).
