David Moyes is ready to return to management and is interested in replacing Gerardo Martino at Major League Soccer side Atlanta United, claims The Independent.
The 55-year-old has been out of work since leaving West Ham at the end of last season, where he guided the Hammers clear of the bottom three during his seven-month stint.
Moyes has had three jobs since his disastrous spell at Manchester United came to an end in 2014 and has already showed a willingness to work abroad.
The Scot was unsuccessful at Real Sociedad but is interested in moving to America and managing Atlanta United at the end of the year.
Former Barcelona head coach Martino is currently in charge of the Five Stripes but his contract expires at the end of the current campaign.
Martino has an option to extend his stay at the Mercedes-Benz stadium but has not indicated he wants to continue beyond December.
Atlanta are weighing up their options and the club’s technical director Carlos Bocanegra has earmarked Moyes as a potential target.
They are currently second in the Eastern Conference and trail New York Red Bulls by one point, albeit with two games in hand over their rivals.
Atlanta also have the league’s top scorer in their ranks in Josef Martinez, who has set a new single-season record this term (28 goals in 26 appearances).
